They were acknowledged as being a relatively expensive brand, but their "fans" gladly accepted paying a premium, because they regarded Powakaddy trolleys as the "Rolls Royce" of the electric golf trolley world.

However, their reputation has slipped a little of late. There have been a lot of complaints on online review websites, stating that the new models are badly built, and unreliable. Many of these disgruntled owners have cited the fact that many of the components on Powakaddy's recent models have been manufactured in China, as being the underlying cause of the problems. This is obviously unproven, but you don't have to look too hard online to find disgruntled Powakaddy customers!
